What does an inspection cover and how long does it take?
Every home inspection performed is an in-depth, thorough analysis of your perspective new home ("Sample Inspection Report"). A meticulous evaluation of all readily accessible areas is performed from the roof down to the crawlspace or basement. Our findings are presented in a comprehensive, concise report that provides clear descriptions of what we've found with any problem areas noted. Digital color photos are included to assist in identifying and understanding issues in the report. Depending on the size and condition of the home, a thorough inspection generally requires 2 -3 hours of on-sight evaluation. Older homes may take longer. Ideally, you will want to accompany the inspector during the inspection, so that you will have visual reinforcement of the written report. And remember, this is the time to ask questions.
Pre-purchase Inspections (for home buyers)
A pre-purchase home inspection will provide a home buyer an independent, unbiased evaluation of the condition of their perspective new home and disclose major problems prior to purchasing the property. Having all of the facts up front is critical to ensure that you are making a sound, informed decision.
Pre-listing Inspections (for home sellers)
The last thing a homeowner needs after finding a willing and qualified buyer is to have unwanted or expensive problems show up in a home inspection report. Our pre-listing inspections are performed in the same thorough manner as our pre-purchase inspections.
